Casey Goodson Memorial Protest and Rally | 12.10.20

Almost week after the unsolicited murder of Casey Goodson by Franklin County Sheriff's Office deputy Jason Meade, protesters took to the streets in New York City and called out the police violence that continues to plague the Black community.

They voiced their anger and frustration that, in the midst of a pandemic that recently snatched 3,000 lives in one day, the claiming of Black bodies by uniformed officers has not ceased. The protest began with a rally at Washington Square Park and made its way uptown to Times Square.

Goodson, just 23 years old, was gunned down as he entered his home in Columbus Ohio carrying Subways sandwiches that he picked up to feed his family.
